JALEN ROBINSON

Thailand Power forward Jalen Robinson (206-F/C-93) had an amazing evening in the last round for Al-Hala, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Al-Bahrain (#12, 0-4), the league's bottom-ranked team 93-84. Al-Hala is placed at 6th position in Bahrain Premier League. Al-Hala is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-3 record. In the team's last game Robinson had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al-Hala's top player in his first season with the team. Former Dalton State College star has very solid stats this year. Robinson is in league's top in points (4th best: 28.5ppg), rebounds (4th best: 15.5rpg) and averages impressive 67.7% FGP and 45.5% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was 30-year old American Lester Ferguson (208-F-88) of Al-Bahrain. Ferguson had a very good evening with a double-double of 36 points and 21 rebounds. Bad luck as Al-Bahrain lost that game 84-93 to the higher-ranked Al-Hala (#6, 3-3). Al-Bahrain is still in a red zone at 12th spot in the standings. 4 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Ferguson is a newcomer at Al-Bahrain, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 30.0ppg (#2). He also registered 14.5 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Senegalese center Mansour Kasse (208-C-92) of Sitra (#5). Kasse got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for twenty two rebounds and four assists. He was a key player of Sitra, leading his team to a 78-75 win against the lower-ranked Al-Nweidrat (#11, 1-5). Sitra needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Kasse has a great season in Bahrain. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.2ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 23.0rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Mile Ilic (215-C-84) of Al-Ittihad - 19 points, 22 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Ronnie Aguilar (216-C-87) of Al-Nweidrat - 23 points, 22 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Sean Williams (208-F-86) of Al-Muharraq - 12 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Joseph Jones (206-C/F-86) of Al-Riffa - 23 points and 11 rebounds
8. Kevin Rogers (206-PF-86) of Al-Najma - 27 points and 8 rebounds
9. Ahmed Aldurazi) of Al-Muharraq - 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
