There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, and even winless team recording their first victory. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Undefeated Bahrain Youth (0-1) recorded its first loss on the court of eleventh ranked Sitra on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Sitra 69-57. Sitra outrebounded Bahrain Youth 53-36 including a 42-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Senegalese center Mansour Kasse (208-92) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points, 31 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks for the winners. The former international guard Hussain Taqi (173-78) chipped in 23 points and 8 assists. Mustafa Husain produced 24 points for lost side. Bahrain Youth's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Sitra (1-2) left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Isa Town and Al-Nweidrat. Newly promoted Bahrain Youth still closes the standings with one game lost. Sitra is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Samaheej (#13) in Manama in the next round where they are favorite. Bahrain Youth will play on the road against Al-Bahrain in Manama and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Another exciting game was played in Manama between fifth ranked Al-Ahli and one of their biggest challengers Al-Ittihad where Al-Ahli (3-1) beat Al-Ittihad (2-2) on the road 79-69. Worth to mention a great performance of American-New Zealand forward Marcel Jones (203-85, college: Oregon St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 19 rebounds and 7 assists. Hashim Habib contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Al-Ahli's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Bosnian-Serbian center Mile Ilic (215-84) replied with 6 points and 25 rebounds for Al-Ittihad. Al-Ahli moved-up to fourth place. Al-Ittihad at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Al-Hala. Al-Ahli's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Manama Al-Najma.
Isa Town can celebrate their first win this season after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Samaheej (0-4) 103-76 on Monday. Worth to mention a great performance of Gavin Thurman who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. At the losing side Hussain Busafwan responded with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Isa Town (1-2) left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Sitra and Al-Nweidrat. It was Samaheej's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Isa Town will meet league's leader Al-Manama in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Samaheej will play against Sitra (#9) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.

The winners were led by Maitham Jameel who scored that evening 42 points (!!!) and 6 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Al-Manama have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Al-Muharraq. Al-Nweidrat at the other side dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. Al-Manama's next round opponent will be Isa Town (#8) in Issa Town and are hoping to win another game.
