There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Premier League. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most surprising game was a loss of Al-Nweidrat (1-1) in Manama on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Bahrain Youth (1-0) 99-90. Bahrain Youth dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Al-Nweidrat's 36. Bahrain Youth forced 19 Al-Nweidrat turnovers. Mozamel Ameer orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Rashid Ahmed contributed with 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Bahrain Youth's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian-FYR Macedonian forward Nenad Zivcevic (203-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 20 rebounds and 4 assists for Al-Nweidrat. Bahrain Youth is looking forward to face Isa Town (#11) in Issa Town in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al-Nweidrat will play at home against Al-Hala (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another interesting game for Al-Muharraq (2-0) which played in Manama against Al-Ahli (1-1). Al-Muharraq won 79-71. Ahmed Aldurazi scored 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Sean Williams chipped in 8 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 blocks during the contest. American-New Zealand forward Marcel Jones (203-85, college: Oregon St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds. Al-Muharraq will play against Al-Ittihad in Manama in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al-Ahli will play at home against Al-Bahrain (#10) to get more than just one victory in their record.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Manama: Al-Manama (#3) and Al-Bahrain (#8). Al-Bahrain was smashed at home by 36 points 77-113 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Sadiq Shukralla notched 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 43 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) by Lester Ferguson did not help to save the game for Al-Bahrain. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al-Manama's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Manama to the arena Samaheej.
The game between Samaheej (0-2) and Al-Hala (1-1) in Manama ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Muharraq outscored Samaheej 124-66. Al-Hala's next round opponent will be Al-Nweidrat (#9) in Nuwaidrat. Samaheej will play at home against Al-Manama and hope to win that game.

In the last two games of round 2 Al-Ittihad smashed Sitra on the road 77-58. Winless Isa Town lost to Al-Najma on its own court 92-109.

Sitra - Al-Ittihad 58-77
