Experienced Serbian-FYR Macedonian Nenad Zivcevic (203-F-87) had an amazing evening in the last round for Al-Nweidrat and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 31-year old forward had a double-double of 32 points and eighteen rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Al-Bahrain (#8, 0-1) with 33-point margin 79-46. Al-Nweidrat is placed at 5th position in Bahrain Premier League. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Al-Nweidrat won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Zivcevic had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al-Nweidrat's top player in his first season with the team. Zivcevic has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 32.0ppg. Zivcevic is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 18.0rpg), assists (6th best: 6.0apg) and averages solid 2.0bpg and 57.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 32-year old American forward Sean Williams (208-F-86) of Al-Muharraq. Williams impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 14 points and 22 rebounds. Of course he led Al-Muharraq to another comfortable win outscoring Isa Town (0-1) 96-62. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Williams is a newcomer at Al-Muharraq and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Bosnia and Herzegovina Mile Ilic (215-C-84) of second-ranked Al-Ittihad. Ilic scored 29 points and grabbed seventeen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Al-Ittihad, leading his team to a 66-60 win against Al-Hala (#9, 0-1). Al-Ittihad has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Ilic also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Ilic as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Hassan Alarabi) of Al-Ahli - 25 points and 8 rebounds
5. Mansour Kasse (208-C-92) of Sitra - 20 points and 21 rebounds
6. Ahmed Fateel) of Samaheej - 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Hussain Altawash (174-G-86) of Al-Manama - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists
8. Sasa Zagorac (206-F/C-84) of Al-Riffa - 18 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Kevin Rogers (206-PF-86) of Al-Najma - 17 points, 18 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Lester Ferguson (208-F-88) of Al-Bahrain - 21 points and 13 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
