Al Muharraq Bahraini club agreed terms with the 56 years old Serbian coach Ivan Jeremic (agency: BeoBasket ) to stay as head coach of the team for season 2017-2018, coach Ivan hired for this position last month during the season and he made a big impact with the team, he won the Bahraini Cup title with the team and reached the league finalist (lost 0-3 against Al Manama).
Coach Ivan has worked as assistant coach in several countries like Russia, Ukraine and Lithuania also he had one year experience in Libya as head coach of Al Shabab.

BAHRAIN missed out on the bronze medal last night in the 23rd Arab Men's Basketball Championship in Cairo losing to hosts Egypt 72-84 in the game for third place. The gold medal was claimed by Saudi Arabia, who beat Algeria 85-81 in the final. The UAE finished last. BAHRAIN bowed out of title contention in the 23rd Arab Men's Basketball Championship last night after a heartbreaking 66-74 loss to Algeria in the semi-finals. The Bahrainis kept things close for three quarters, but in the final canto could not match their rivals. KENNY WILLIAMS Al Hilla (IBL) signed 32-year old American forward Kenny Williams (201-102kg-86, college: Angelo State).
