Bahrain prevail against Kuwait for the first win in Qatar

Bahrain recorded their first win at the inaugural GCC Championship in Doha. They toppled Kuwait to improve at 1-1 record. Mariam Hedar stepped up with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assist to lead Bahrain to a 52:33 victory. Bahrain gave little chance for their opponents in this one. They led from start to finish to post a comfortable 52:33 win at the end. Bahrain stormed into the game building a 20:5 lead after ten minutes. Bahrain stayed in charge throughout the reminder of contest and eased to the win at the end. Fatima Adel had 16 points for Bahrain. Esha Adnan answered with 11 points and 20 rebounds for Kuwait. Mounera Walid netted 5 points in the loss. Bahrain face Oman in their third game at the tournament.
