Although Iran faced hard moments in front of the Champion, they could changed the result and shocked Qatar by 63 - 60.
Neither the Qatari’s coach nor the players would imagine that they could shake a white flag against the host Iran but they believed in Iran's potential when the 223 cm Jabber made his best in the court. Head coach Vladmir Bosnjak didn't get the benefit of the big tower in this match as Jabber was sitting on the bench most of the time. But whenever he gets a chance of playing for his country, he was a trouble maker for Qatari’s. The story starts from the 4th quarter when Amir Amini, stole a ball and put it in the hoop, then he did it again and added 2 points for Iran: 39 - 33. Qatar that had very good shooters responded this 4 points by a long distance shoot, when the scoreboard showed Younes Mohammad scored very valuable 3 points and let his country come closer: 36 -39 and then Al Haji scored another 3 points shoot: 39 - 41.Times went so fast and the Queries were behind, they were running so hard but the more they tried, the less they got and by the time that they thought even times is against them, Eoshin Sahakian scored a 2 points and 17 seconds later Syavash Monavari let the champion down by his nice lay up: 63 - 60.
