Naft Abadan tabs Mohammad Nikkhah

Defending champion Naft Abadan (Superleague) inked experienced 36-year old Iranian international forward Mohammad Nikkhah (199-102kg-83). He played most recently at Nanjing Tongxi Monkey Kings in Chinese CBA league. In 34 games he averaged 14.0ppg, 7.2rpg, 2.7apg and 1.4spg in 2017-18 season.
Nikkhah ended the previous (2016-17) season at Mahram (D1). But the most of that year he spent at Long Lions (also in CBA) where in 37 games he had very impressive stats: 19.7ppg, 5.6rpg, 3.6apg and 1.1spg.
Among other achievements Nikkhah won Iranian Superleague championship title in 2003, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. He received also Asia-Basket.com All-Iranian Superleague Player of the Year award back in 2012.
Nikkhah represented Iran at the Asian Games in Indonesia last year.
He has played also professionally in France (Pau Lacq Orthez and Cholet Basket), China (Golden Bulls and Sturgeons) and Iran (Sanam, Petrochimi, Azad and Foolad Mahan).
Nikkhah is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Naft Abadan.
Nikkhah's game is described as: An interesting swingman, who has great ball handling skills, quick feet, the shooting and the size to play big guard even at European top level.
