Toyota Alvark finished the preliminary round on top of Group B. They fired past Mono Vampire today. Alex Kirk (211-C-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) was pivotal with 28 points and 10 rebounds to lead the winners. Toyota Alvark grabbed a 21:16 lead at the first break. They unleashed 62 points in the second half and cruised to the victory. Joji Takeuchi (207-F/C-85) produced 19 points in the victory. Michael Singletary (198-F-88, college: Texas Tech) responded with 44 points and 13 rebounds for Mono Vampire.
Petrochimi - Liaoning FL 108-69
Petrochimi secured the semifinal berth in Nonthaburi as they beat Liaoning for the third consecutive win in Group A. Farid Aslani (183-PG-88) came up with 26 points to lead the Iranian team. Petrochimi grabbed a 53:29 halftime lead. They added 55 points in the second half to coast to the victory. Sajjad Mashayekhi (180-PG-94) added 21 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists for Petrochimi. Xu Guo (197-F/G-81) replied with 21 points for Liaoning.
Meralco Bolts - Al Riyadi 96-63
Meralco Bolts caught the final train to the semifinal stage. They snapped two-game losing skid and edged Al Riyadi to finish second in Group B. Diamond Stone (211-C/F-97, college: Maryland) and Garvo Lanete (187-G-90) delivered 20 points each for the winners. Al Riyadi led by three points after the opening frame. But Meralco Bolts went on a massive 73:37 run in the next three quarters to seal the victory. Rommel Canaleta (198-F-82) had 18 points for the winners. Bassel Bawji (203-F-89, college: Tulsa) responded with 19 points for Al Riyadi.
SK Knights - Pauian 89-82
SK Knights held off Pauian to finish second in Group A. Pauian jumped to a 25:18 lead after ten minutes. But SK Knights sank 28 points in the second period to pull within two points 46:48. SK Knights followed with a 22:13 rally in the fourth term to snatch a key win. DaJuan Summers (203-PF-88, college: Georgetown) produced 37 points and 13 rebounds for SK Knights. Emanuel Jones (200-F-85, college: UTRGV) replied with 29 points and 9 rebounds for Pauian.
