Toyota Alvark prevailed against Meralco Bolts to improve at 2-0 record in Group B. Al Riyadi survived an overtime thriller to tame Mono Vampire for the first win in Group B. Mono Vampire led by two points at halftime 46:48. But Al Riyadi went on a 22:14 run in the third term to surge ahead. Mono Vampire recovered in the fourth term to force overtime. But Al Riyadi unloaded 19 points in the extra period to rally to the win. Amir Saoud (186-G-91) had 30 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for Riyadi. Mark Lyons (185-G-89, college: Arizona, agency: Higher Vision Sports) added 27 points and 10 assists for the Lebanese team. Michael Singletary (198-F-88, college: Texas Tech) responded with 30 points and 20 rebounds for Mono Vampire.
