Chooks To Go Pilipinas awarded wild card for FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2017

Chooks To Go Pilipinas have been awarded a wild card to take part in this year's FIBA Asia Champions Cup. Japan club SunRockers Shibuya were initially scheduled to participate but had to withdraw after extensive efforts to adjust the B.League schedule to fit the games in proved unsuccessful. Chooks To Go Pilipinas now completes the 10-team line-up for Asia's premier club competition that will take place in Chenzhou, China from 22-30 September.
They will join defending champions China Kashgar, Al Riyadi (LBN), Petrochimi (IRI), Sarreyet Ramallah (PLE), Dacin Tigers (TPE), BC Astana (KAZ), ONGC (IND), Al Shabab Al Ahli (UAE) and Mono Vampire BC (THA).
The official draw for the Asia's premier basketball club competition took place on August 25 and determined the groups in which the 10 teams will compete.
The groups are now as follows:
Group A: BC Astana, Mono Vampire, Petrochimi, Sarreyet Ramallah, Chooks To Go Pilipinas.
Group B: Al Shabab Al Ahli, ONGC, Al Riyadi, Dacin Tigers, China Kashgar
