Xinjiang survived an overtime thriller against Al Rayyan to seal their semifinal appearance. Adams Darius (188-PG-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Stealth Sport) stepped up with 27 points to lead the Flying Tigers. Al Rayyan accumulated a 44:39 halftime lead. They boosted the gap at 7-point mark heading into the fourth term. But Xinjiang went on a 20:13 run in the fourth quarter to force overtime. The Chinese team dropped 20 points in the extra period to snatch the victory. Blatche Andray (211-F/C-86) accounted for 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Barsy Atyrau - Al Riyadi 69-88
Al Riyadi coasted past Barsy Atyrau to punch the semifinal tickets. Five players scored in double digits for the winners. Fadi Khatib (198-F/G-79) produced 18 points in the win. Al Riyadi dominated right from the start. The Lebanese team grabbed a 53:25 halftime lead. Barsy managed to narrow the gap in the second half but could not avoid the loss. Petrochimi - Al Shurtah 88-67
Petrochimi saw off Al Shurtah in the quarterfinal clash. Gerald Robinson (185-PG-89, college: Georgia) notched 25 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the Iranian powerhouse. Al Shurtah enjoyed a narrow 40:37 halftime lead. But Petrochimi shifted the gear in the second half. They went on a 51:27 run after the big break and raced to the win. Al Ahli - Pauian 90-80
Al Ahli advanced into the semifinal stage with victory over Pauian. Qais Alshabebi (200-C-91) stepped up with 22 points and 14 rebounds to pace the Emirati team. Pauian grabbed a 25:19 lead after ten minutes. But Al Ahli denied the deficit in the second term and secured a 41:38 halftime lead. Al Ahli unloaded 49 points after the big break and cruised to the win. Sam Young (198-F/G-85, college: Pittsburgh) topscored with 40 points for the winners. Davis Quincy (206-F/C-83, college: Tulane) responded with 20 points and 13 rebounds for Pauian.
