Westsports Malaysia Dragons (ASEAN League) inked 22-year old American forward Skylar Spencer (208-109kg-94). He just graduated from San Diego State University (NCAA). Spencer has played there for the last four years. In 36 games he recorded 3.6ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.9bpg last season. Spencer helped them to win the regular season and make it to the MWC Tournament final. A very good season in his career as he was awarded All-MWC Defensive Player of the Year and voted to MWC All-Defensive Team.
The previous (12-13) season he played also at another team Aztecs in U.S. semi-pro league NCAA1 where in 34 games he averaged only 2.9ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.5bpg. Spencer contributed to his team making it to the semifinals.
As mentioned above he is just out of the college and it will be his first full season in pro basketball.
Spencer received All-MWC Co-Defensive Player of the Year award in 2015 at his college time.
Spencer has played previously for another Malaysia team Buzz Elite.
