Defending champion Al Rayyan Doha (D1) tabbed 27-year old American guard Preston Knowles (187-89, college: Louisville). He was about to sign at The Flexx Pistoia in Italian Serie A.
Among other achievements Knowles won D-League East Conference championship title in 2012. He was selected to Israeli League All-Star Game in 2014.
Knowles is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Greece (KAO Dramas), Ukraine (DniproAzot), D-League (Springfield A.) and Israel (Ironi Nes-Ziona).
Knowles attended University of Louisville until 2011 and it is his sixth season in pro basketball.
