ASEAN League round 3 best performance: Dominic Gilbert- January 8, 2023
The player had a double-double of 29 points and 17 rebounds, while his team crushed Singapore S. (#3, 2-1) with 16-point margin 68-52. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. HK Eastern maintains the 2nd position in ASEAN League . They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but HK Eastern already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Gilbert had a remarkable 53.3% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He just recently signed at HK Eastern, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Dominic Gilbert averages just after three games 15.3ppg and 10.3rpg. The second best player in last round's games was young American C.J. Gettys (213-C-1994, agency: Haylett Sports) of Singapore S.. Gettys had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 22 rebounds. Bad luck as Singapore S. lost that game 52-68 to HK Eastern (3-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Gettys is a newcomer at Singapore S., but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.3ppg (#9). He also registered 14.3 boards per game. Third on the list of top players last round was American center Amir Williams (211-C-1992) of NS Matrix (#4). Williams scored 22 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of NS Matrix, leading his team to a 86-82 win against Zamboanga (#5, 1-2). NS Matrix needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Williams has a great season in ASEAN League. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.8rpg (5th best). Other top performing players last week: 4. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
