HK Eastern lands Chris McLaughlin, ex Fraser Valley

Hong-Kong-Eastern-Long-Lions (D1) landed 30-year old Canadian 208cm center Chris McLaughlin (college: Victoria) for new season. McLaughlin played last summer at Fraser Valley in Canadian CEBL. In 5 games he averaged 4.2ppg and 3.0rpg.
He represented Canada at the World University Games in Gwangju (South Korea) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 9.9ppg, 4.6rpg, FGP: 60.0%, 3PT: 20.0%, FT: 79.2%.
McLaughlin has played previously professionally in Austria (Gmunden Swans) and Hong Kong (Nam Ching). His team won CanWest Pacific Division Regular Season in 2012 and 2014.
Among many awards he received All-CanWest Player of the Year award and was voted to Eurobasket.com All-World University Games Honorable Mention back in 2015.
He graduated from University of Victoria in 2015 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
