There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in ASEAN League. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most important game in the last round took place in Macau between third ranked Chinese Macau (14-11) and fourth ranked Singapore Singapore Slingers (14-10) on Wednesday night. Macau was crushed by Singapore Slingers at home 89-70. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Macau. Singapore Slingers shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Jerran Young (198-91, college: Wright St.) who scored 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. The other American import guard Xavier Alexander (198-88, college: S.Nazarene) chipped in 13 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists. American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St., agency: Two Points) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds for the hosts. Singapore Slingers moved-up to third place. Macau at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Hong Kong ELL. Singapore Slingers are looking forward to face Mono Vampire (#8) in Bangkok in the next round where they are favorite. Macau will have a break next round.
Taiwanese leader Formosa D. delivered the nineteenth victory. This time they beat 10th ranked Chinese Zhuhai (2-23) 99-88. American forward Tevin Glass (206-94, college: E.Tenn.St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Malcolm Miller contributed with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Formosa D.'s coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Chen Cai (205-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds for Zhuhai. Formosa D. (19-6) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Zhuhai lost ninth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games. Formosa D. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Zhuhai will play on the road against Hong Kong ELL (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

In the last two games of round 26 Westports MD were crushed by Mono Vampire in Bangkok 98-79. Hong Kong ELL beat CLS Knights at home 97-88.
The best stats of 26th round was 24 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists by Doug Herring-Jr of CLS Knights.



Macau - Singapore S. 70-89

Mono Vampire - Westports MD 98-79

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Malaysian Westports MD's (8-15) road loss to eighth ranked Thailand Mono Vampire (9-16) 79-98. Mono Vampire shot the lights out from three nailing 18 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American-Thailand guard Tyler Lamb (196-91, college: Long Beach St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points. American-Thailand Moses Morgan (198-92, college: CS Fullerton) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Four Mono Vampire players scored in double figures. American Winston Shepard (203-93, college: San Diego St., agency: Slash Sports) replied with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Nigerian-American power forward Nnanna Egwu (211-92, college: Illinois) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Westports MD. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mono Vampire maintains eighth position with 9-16 record. Westports MD at the other side keeps the ninth place with 15 games lost. Mono Vampire will play against higher ranked Singapore Slingers (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Westports MD will have a break next round.

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Hong Kong Hong Kong ELL (14-11) defeated at home 7th ranked Indonesian CLS Knights (13-13) 97-88. Hong Kong ELL players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American-Dominican guard ODarien Bassett (189-86, college: Troy) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) contributed with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Hong Kong ELL's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Doug Herring-Jr (191-87, college: Utica) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists and American-Nigerian power forward Maxie Esho (206-91, college: Massachusetts, agency: Two Points) added 21 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for CLS Knights. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hong Kong ELL moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Macau. CLS Knights at the other side keep the seventh position with 13 games lost. Hong Kong ELL will play against bottom-ranked Zhuhai (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. CLS Knights will have a break next round.
