WILL ARTINO

26-year old Will Artino (211-C/F-92) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Formosa D. and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat Mono Vampire (#9, 0-3), the league's bottom-ranked team 71-66. It allowed Formosa D. to consolidate first place in the ASEAN League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Formosa D. already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Artino had a remarkable 52.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Formosa D.'s top player in his first season with the team. Creighton University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Artino is in league's top in points (9th best: 21.2ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 11.8rpg) and averages solid 2.2spg and 56.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Renaldo Balkman (203-F-84) of SM Beermen. He is American-Puerto Rican forward in his first season at SM Beermen. In the last game Balkman recorded impressive double-double of 33 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led SM Beermen to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked CLS Knights (#8, 1-4) 94-67. SM Beermen's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Balkman is a newcomer at SM Beermen and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Christien Charles (216-F/C-81) of Mono Vampire (#9). Charles scored 19 points and grabbed twenty two rebounds (!!!). Despite Charles' great performance Mono Vampire lost 66-71 to the league's current leader Formosa D. (#1, 6-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Mono Vampire can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 3 games. Too bad for Charles he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. The season just started for Charles as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jerran Young (198-G-91) of Singapore S. - 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
5. John Fields (205-F/C-88) of Singapore S. - 19 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Xavier Alexander (198-G-88) of Singapore S. - 12 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists
7. Winston Shepard (203-PF-93) of Westports MD - 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Peter Ramos (222-C-85) of SM Beermen - 20 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Kyle Barone (203-C-89) of Saigon H. - 20 points and 19 rebounds
10. Malcolm Miller (201-G-91) of Formosa D. - 19 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
