RYAN WATKINS

American Ryan Watkins (206-C/F-91, agency: Two Points) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Macau and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 27-year old had a double-double of 41 points and eighteen rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Zhuhai (#10, 0-2) with 39-point margin 135-96. Macau is placed at 2nd position in ASEAN League. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Macau won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Watkins had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Macau's top player in his first season with the team. Boise State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Watkins is league's best scorer averaging so far 35.0ppg and leads league in rebounds with 20.5rpg. Watkins is in league's top in and averages solid 2.5spg and 82.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old American guard Xavier Alexander (198-G-88) of Singapore S.. Alexander impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 33 points and 10 rebounds. Of course Singapore S. cruised to a 91-81 relatively comfortable win over Mono Vampire (0-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Alexander is a newcomer at Singapore S. and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.4ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 11.1rpg and 5.3apg.

The third best performed player last round was another Singapore S.'s star - American John Fields (205-F/C-88). Fields scored 25 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Singapore S., helping his team with a 101-47 easy win against Westports MD (#8, 0-1). Singapore S. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost games. Fields has a great season in ASEAN League. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.3rpg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Marcus Elliott (191-G-84) of Hong Kong ELL - 36 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Chen Cai (205-C-93) of Zhuhai - 21 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Anthony Tucker (193-G-89) of Macau - 29 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists
7. Michael Singletary (198-F-88) of Mono Vampire - 28 points and 8 rebounds
8. Will Artino (211-C/F-92) of Formosa D. - 19 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Jerran Young (198-G-91) of Singapore S. - 17 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Mikh McKinney (184-G-92) of Macau - 20 points, 2 rebounds and 14 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
