Singapore Slingers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Westports MD's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Singapore Slingers made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American guard Xavier Alexander (198-88, college: S.Nazarene) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds and 17 assists. American forward Chris Eversley (201-91, college: Cal Poly - SLO) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Another exciting game where Taiwanese Formosa D. (2-0) edged by two points Hong Kong Hong Kong ELL (1-1) 82-80. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Tevin Glass (206-94, college: E.Tenn.St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds.
