Alab Pilipinas upset Hong Kong ELL on the road in the semifinal series opener. Alab Pilipinas dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Hong Kong ELL's 38 and made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Alab Pilipinas players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American-Puerto Rican forward Renaldo Balkman (203-84, college: S.Carolina) nailed a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!), 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and American forward Justin Brownlee (197-88, college: St.John's) accounted for 16 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. Brownlee is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Alab Pilipinas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) came up with a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and the other American import guard Tyler Lamb (196-91, college: Long Beach St.) added 32 points respectively for Hong Kong ELL in the defeat. Four Hong Kong ELL players scored in double figures.

Chongson - Mono Vampire 94-103

Mono Vampire stunned Chongson away from home in the opener. It was a great shooting night for Mono Vampire especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Filipino-American point guard Jason Brickman (181-91, college: LIU Brooklyn) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 assists for the winners and American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 29 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Mono Vampire players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and American-Filipino guard Mikh McKinney (184-92, college: Sacramento St.) scored 32 points and 4 assists.

Chen Cai (205-C-93) had an amazing evening in the last round for Zhuhai and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 11. The 25-year old center had the game-high 34 points adding eight rebounds and five assists for Zhuhai as his team lost the game against Westports MD (#6, 4-3) 83-89.
