King's double-double lands him Interperformances Player of the Week award

24-year old forward Nick King (201-F-95) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Alab Pilipinas and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Saigon H. (#10, 3-10) 82-75. Alab Pilipinas is placed at 2nd position in ASEAN League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Alab Pilipinas will need more victories to improve their 9-5 record. In the team's last game King had a remarkable 70.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Alab Pilipinas' top player in his first season with the team. Nick King averages this season 19.4ppg and 8.2rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Xavier Alexander (198-G-88) of Singapore S.. He is American guard in his first season at Singapore S.. In the last game Alexander recorded impressive triple-double of 24 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Of course Singapore S. cruised to a 106-99 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Fubon Braves (#3, 9-6). Singapore S.'s 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 6-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Alexander is a newcomer at Singapore S. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Sam Thompson (201-F-92, agency: Pensack Sports) of Saigon H. (#10). Thompson got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . Despite Thompson's great performance Saigon H. lost 75-82 to the higher-ranked Alab Pilipinas (#2, 9-5). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Saigon H. can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 3-10 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Thompson has a very solid season. In 12 games in ASEAN League he scored 19.4ppg. He also has 8.3rpg, 2.3spg and FGP: 50.3%.
