Herring Jr.'s 32-point game gives him Player of the Week award

32-year old guard Douglas Herring Jr. (191-G-87) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Zhuhai and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had the game-high 32 points adding nine rebounds and eight assists for Zhuhai in his team's victory, helping them to beat Fubon Braves (#1, 4-2) 88-83. Zhuhai is placed at 7th position in ASEAN League. Too late to improve their position as they are currently ranked such low. They already lost 3 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Herring Jr. had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Zhuhai's top player in his first season with the team. Utica College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Herring Jr. is in league's top in points (3rd best: 24.3ppg) and averages solid 2.3spg and 62.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Sim Bhullar (226-C-92) of top-ranked Fubon Braves. He is Indian-Canadian center in his first season at Fubon Braves. In the last game Bhullar recorded impressive double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds. Of course Fubon Braves cruised to a 90-81 relatively comfortable win over Formosa D. (1-3). The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Bhullar is a newcomer at Fubon Braves and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Zhuhai's star - forward Julian Boyd (201-F-90). Boyd got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds . Despite Boyd's great performance Zhuhai lost 83-90 to WM Dragons (#5, 2-1). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Zhuhai can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Boyd has individually a great season in ASEAN League. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.8ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 10.8rpg (5th best).
