Canady was graduated from Valdosta St. in the US-NCAA2 in 2007, He's looking to establish his career with a success in Syria. |

| |  | Two postponded games were played today in damascus , Leading teams Al Jalaa Aleppo and Al Jeish Army Damascus manadeg to win their 10th game of the season and kept their record without any defeats . In the first game army had no difficulties to beat Al Hurriya by 32 points 101-69 , Al Jeish Army Damascus took the lead early and kept their good performance to grab a big win to continue their battle with Al Jalaa Aleppo for the first place . The second match was more competetive , Al Wehda Damascus were tough opponents for Al Jalaa Aleppo and did'nt allow them to sneak away with a big victory , the game was balanced but eventually jalaa won it by 6 points 83-77 to remain in the first place for one more week |

Watkins had a previous experience in the region with Al Nahda Club in Saudi Arabia for 2 seasons adding to his career in China, Guatimala, Costa Rica and the american high school.
- The lebanese head coach Marwan Khalil will take over Al Yarmouk Club for the reminder of the season...
Khalil was the coach of Blue Stars of Lebanon last season, His head coaching career in Lebanon was also with Sporting Feytroun (Season 2004-2005) and Tadamon Zouk (Season 2000-2001). |

| |  | After releasing both of their imports Al Ittihad Aleppo brings a new foreign duo for tryouts. The club management decided to pick Nigerian center Lewis Fadipe (208-C-83, college: La Salle) and American guard William Clay (188-G-78, college: Texas). Both players arrived to Aleppo and already started their practices with the team lead by interim coach Bassel Hamwi . Hamwi took over the team on temporary bases after previous coach Frederick Onika was fired. Fadipe played in the NCAA, CBA and had some pro experience in Mexico. Clay also player in the NCAA, CBA, Mexican League and then in Qatar and Cyprus. |

In the semifinal game Zain edged Al Jalaa Aleppo 73:69 in a real thriller. Even though the favorite won the first period 21-17 and had 37-34 at the halftime, Al Jalaa Aleppo stepped in front for 54-52 before the last quarter. Only at the end of the game the team from Jordan could grab the victory and advanced to the Final. Ontario Lett (198-F-79, agency: BrezoPro, college: Pittsburgh) top-scored for Zain with 22 points, whilst Sam Daghlas (197-G-79, college: Midwestern St.) had 16. Michel Maadanli (196-G-81, agency: Huss Sport Agency) produced 15 points for Al Jalaa Aleppo. The Quarterfinal game saw Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut beating Al Jeish Army Damascus 85:77. It was a great game while the team from Lebanon was the favorite even before the matchup. Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut started the game with 30:20 taking full control of the game. Al Jeish Army Damascus won the second period and reduced to 45:38 at the halftime. The game remained tough in the second half and the board showed 60:51 at the end of the third frame. At the end the team from Syria could come closer but Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut saved an important victory. Ahmad Ismail led the winners with 31 points, while Fadi El Khatib (197-F-79, agency: Pro Management Agency) netted 21. At first the team lost to Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut 72:75. Ahmad Ismail (201-F-76) led the winners with 23 points, while Michel Maadanli (196-G-81, agency: Huss Sport Agency) scored 19 for Al Jalaa Aleppo. In the second game Al Jalaa Aleppo overcame Al Ittihad Alexandria 89:71. John Thomas top-scored for Al Jalaa Aleppo with 22 points and Michel Maadanli added 12. Al Jalaa Aleppo improved to 2-1 after the win over Champville 73:68. Damond Williams (197-F-80, agency: HM Sports Agency, college: Mc Neese St.) paced all the winners with 25 points. In the last game of the group Al Jalaa Aleppo stun An Nasr 84:75 as Damond Williams brought his team 22 points. Al Jeish Army Damascus finished 4th in Group B. Al Moutahed Tripoli overcame Al Jeish Army Damascus 80:68 in Game 1. In the second game Zain stun Al Jeish Army Damascus from Syria 89:61. | |  | - Army club head coach Imad Othman had finally chosen his 3rd imports for Dubai International Tournament (Dubai, UAE 20-28 December) with the american duo Chad Hendrick (197-G/F-79, college: Houston) and Marvin Black (201-F-80, agency: EM-PA, college: Marshall), Derrick Davenport (208-C-78, college: TCU) arrived to Damascus yesterday and is ready to do his best with his collegues in the tournament.
Davenport's experience is rich with good clubs in Europe as he played there in France, Russia, Italy and Turkey.....
- John Thomas (205-F/C-75, college: Minnesota) and Roderick Riley (210-C-81, agency: Elfus-Siegel Management (ESM), college: Prairie View A&M) will complete the imports list of al Jalaa with the american forward Damond Williams (197-F-80, agency: HM Sports Agency, college: Mc Neese St.) for Dubai International Tournament which will start next Saturday....

 | TeamUnity Tour in Syria ends Successfully | |

The team had a very successful tour where they played 8 games with teams from Syria and Lebanon and Jordan.
The tour ended when the team participated in the Homs International tournament and won first place. Wayne Oliver (201-F/C-80, college: W.Hills JC) was named the MVP of this tournament.
Coach Gary Kloppenburg Led the team with great efficiency and professionalism with his assistant coach Bobby Rouse , and with the help of Coach Marwan Khalil from Lebanon where they got a high review from all the media and.
Players from the group were signed with teams in the area, we congratulate them and we will continue the effort for all our TeamUnity members.
