 No one was expecting that the result of the game between Al Ahli Egypt and the Lebanese Al Riyadi will end to the latter by 50 pts! The Champions of Lebanon continued their complete dominance of all basketball games in Housameddine Hariri tournament without any obstacles -- knocking out one team after the other. This time it was for Egyptian Al Ahli to be sacrificed on court.

 The 4th day of the Hariri Tournament saw a Lebanese Match up which joined Blue Stars to Moutahed , Blue Stars who won its first game against Al Riyadi from Jordan succeeded to make Moutahed suffer throughout the game and to loose its second consecutive game in the tournament on the score of 84-80. Nick Zachery led all scorers with 27pts followed by Jean Abed El Nour and Mazen Mneimneh with 24pts .

 Day 3 of the 18th Hariri International Tournament saw 3 games , The first one joined Sila from Morocco against Al Riyadi from Jordan , the Moroccan team managed to impose its rhythm on the game from its first minutes and easily scored its first win in the Tournament on the score of 96-69 , on the other hand Al Riyadi from Jordan suffered its second consecutive loss after loosing in their first game against Blue Stars from Lebanon.

 In the 2nd day of the 18th Hariri International Tournament , 3 games were played . In the first game Al Ahly scored its second win , this time was against Mouharak on the score of 84-46. Ahli didnt had any problems in having a very dominated game from its first minutes . In the second game Motahed last year Lebanese League Finalist suffered a surprise first loss against Sporting from Egypt on the score of 70-74 .

 In the first day of the 18th Hariri Tournament , Riyadi started the quest to retain the title by a very big win against Al Hilal from Saudi Arabia on the score of 121-54.

 - Champville club head coach Ghassan Sarkis decided to have the american pair William Pippen (203-F-80, college: Middle Tenn.St.) and Chris Charles (213-F/C-81, agency: Rice and Rice, college: Villanova) with him for the news season 2008-2009. Pippen was chosen before as Jordanian Premier League MVP in season 2006-2007 with Arena Amman, He played also in Japan, Mexico, Luxembourg and UAE last season, While Charles starred in the Serbian league before heading for a new experience in Lebanon.

 Antranik Beirut inked a post player Mike Fraser (203-C/F-84, agency: Hart Sports Mngm, college: Oklahoma Baptist) who played last season in Austria with the champion team BSC Raiffeisen Furstenfeld Panthers , Fraser is a very athletic player who will bring a good presence for Antranik in the paint despite hi height which is 68 . Fraser was the MVP of the All Star game in Austria last season , best Field Goals % and one of the best rebounder of the league.

 6'8' power forward Bakari Hendrix (204-C-77, agency: Interperformances, college: Gonzaga) joins the Lebanese division A team Tebnine. The past season he has been the best big man of the Australian NBL, playing with Melbourne South Dragons, where he averaged 18.9 points per game and grabbed 6.8 rebounds per game. Bakari has played in several top European leagues as well, such as the Portuguese TMN, with Lisboa Benfica, and the Italian Legadue, with Aurora Jesi.

  The much anticipated championship will start on November 22nd 2008 , this year anew format will be adopted which will bring more intensity to the game and will create bigger competition . In the first round the 10 teams will play against each other on a home and away format .

This will be my 11th season as a professional and I still have the passion to compete all except being away from my family. I only wish they could see me perform.
