As all people know, Referees is The Judge of Court in a Match so he has to call and wistle in justice for all the teams, Home and Guest. Some times referees will be in an exam to show themselves , in some situations they will be examined and some of them will be passed and some failed.

As all people know, Referees is The Judge of Court in a Match so he has to call and wistle in justice for all the teams, Home and Guest. Some times referees will be in an exam to show themselves , in some situations they will be examined and some of them will be passed and some failed. On Thursday, There was a match in Sanandaj - Kordestan between Traktorsazi Kordestan and Shiraz a.s Pipe. The gym was full of crowd and people just shout and some times they made some problems for the guest team, specially in Free Shots and they just threated the referees all the time of game and It's result was Bad Judge in some times of the match and not calling some clear fouls on guest players which all the crowd were surprised because Traktorsazi Kordestan players kicked shiraz players or catched their jerseys all the time. One of the referees was Amir Hossein Safarzadeh, one of the best and youngest iranian referees which must help his two too young assistants to having no fear in that situation but .... After too many mistakes in judgment, the score was 75-75 and just 4 seconds, Kevin Sheppard (182-G-79, agency: Paris Global Sports, college: Jacksonville) made a penetrate to score and win, two guys kicked him in a bad manner so he felt down and injured too bad. No Whistle No Foal , just Scoreboard's Beep told Time is Over. Extra Time started and a.s Pipe's Captain, Kevin Sheppard couldn't play because of injury. So the match which could be finished in 40 minutes for Shiraz a.s Pipe, finished after first extra time for Traktorsazi Kordestan and Referees. Referees couldn't call that clear foul because they had fear of crowd, fear of what will happened after the match. But they didn't have any fear of being honest in judgment or being punished by referee's committee of Iran Basketball Federation. We wish Brave for All Referees in All Situations because all the teams pays too much money for being in league and some fear will destroy all of their attempts.

Arsalan Kazemi, a senior forward at the Patterson School (N.C.) who emigrated from Isfahan, Iran to the U.S. earlier this year, verbally committed to the Owls late last night. Kazemi is expected to sign a letter of intent later this month. The Iranian foward visited Rice this weekend and chose the Texas school over Maryland - whom he had been scheduled to visit later in November - and local Big East school Seton Hall, which had once been considered the frontrunner for the versatile 6-7 swingman.
I was just happy with the school, Kazemi said of Rice. Its a big campus, a nice facility and I think I like my teammates.
Kazemi adds to a loaded recruiting class for new Rice coach Ben Braun, who has also hauled in talented St. Benedicts point man Tamir Jackson and rapidly improving 6-8 forward Egheosa Edomwonyi of the Hun School. It greatly hurts the Pirates recruiting efforts though; the Hall considered Kazemi one of its top targets but must now turn its attention to 7-0 Jarrid Famous, a Westchester Community College big man.
Kazemi visited Rice with Anthony Ibrahim, his advisor who had helped him enter the U.S. back in February. Rice was the right fit for Kazemi he says and is also near Ibrahim, who resides in Houston. Though Rice lacks the clout of many other schools that had pursued Kazemi, Ibrahim believes the setting is right.
He wants to make a difference in a program, Ibrahim said. They play in a good conference (Conference USA), and Ben Braun is a good coach. Its the right place.

The professional league in Iran just started. It's a very big controversy in 08-09 season as teh main candidate for championship title - Saba Battery - lost their main sponsor and may be out of the competition.
It's very strange that three games of the first round were already cancelled. So instead of 6 games, there were only half of them played. Hopefully the teams will be able to just postpone these games and play them on later date.

The reason of other matches being cencelled was that Azad University Team is not completed yet, Zob Ahan had some players in Iran University Basketball Team and they just arrived in middle of the week. And Saba Battery has no sponser for being in competition. The other team named Shiraz a.s Pipe had rest for first week. Last season champion Mahram had unexpectedly tough game against newcomer Aboomoslem. But 76-71 gave them already leadership position at the beginning of the season. Without Kaveh and eventually Saba (both made Final Four last year) there may be completely different league this season.

In 2007-2008, he averaged 17 points and 6 assists with the Gwizzlies before returning to play overseas. 'The 5'11' Sami is coming back to the ABA and the Gwizzlies stronger and better than ever. He is currently an NBDL and NBA prospect, according to team owner Embry Malone . 'Whether its his 45' vertical helping him do 360's, his amazing quickness and speed or just his overall solid basketball skills, this kid will be doing big things in whatever league he plays.' The Gwizzlies are looking like a solid team this year with key signings and a couple of returning vets. Sami, plus Ron Jackson (197-G-84, college: Emmanuel (GA)), James Webb (201-F) and Kevin Reinhardt (196-F-83, college: Georgetown, KY) will look to be the go-to guys and team leaders. This highly athletic and talented skilled team will be making a huge impact in the league and look to be in the playoffs this year. This is the Gwizzlie season you don't want to miss.
