Al Ahli Sanaa Cup winner of
season 2004/2005
Game3:
Al Ahli Sana’a vs. Ash Shaa’b Ibb:
Al Ahli
could win that game after the big protest from the players of Ash Shaa’b
Ibb about the referees. But they finished that game with a final result
for Al Ahli of (53/31).
It was like a revenge to win that game in Sana’a in the new Basketball
Zubairi Hall. After winning that game everything is possible now and a
deciding game is the only chance for both of the teams to qualify to the
final game in Sana’a.
Game4: Ahli Sana’a vs. Ash Shaa’b Ibb (deciding game):
Al Ahli
was deciding to win that game after the YBA intermitted Walid Taha to play
with Ash Shaa’b Ibb in the deciding game after his protesting. Al Ahli was
good in that game to win it and to go to the final game to play against
the winner from Al Yarmouk and Al Mina. Al Ahli won the four quarters
(16/11),(21/16),(25/20) and (17/15)and the final result with (79/62).
Game5: Al Yarmouk vs. Al Mina:
It was
like a final game between the second in D1 and the second of D2. Al
Yarmouk won the first game in Aden with (81/75), so Al Mina is ordered to
win this game if he want to qualify to the final game. So Al Mina did a
real and high class game by winning this game with a final result of
(89/85). So They are going to play a final deciding game to play against
Ahli Sana’a in the final. The best scorers of this game was Abdulsatar Al
Hamdani form Al Yarmouk with 30 Pts. and Shokri Jauhar from Al Mina with
18.
Game6: Al Yarmouk vs Al Mina (deciding game):
Everything
was possible in that game because both of the teams had already won one
time and both of teams had good players so who is going to win that game.
Al Yarmouk did it after a nice and strong game. 60 fouls are showing us
how strong and deciding that game was. Al Yarmouk won this game over Al
Mina with a final result of (83/74) and qualified to the final against Al
Ahli Sana’a.
Final game
(Al Ahli vs. Al Yarmouk):
Al Yarmouk
tried hard to win even one quarter but the players from Al Ahli were so
good to finalize that game with a good result of (75/59). The results of
the four quarters were (20/17),(19/17),(20/14) and (16/11). The game was
good, if I want to talk about the defensive side of both of teams. Al
Yarmouk played a Zone defence and Al Ahli used the hardest way of half
court man to man covering. So the amount of defensive and offensive fouls
was 37, 19 for Al Ahli and 18 for Al Yarmouk. The best scorer of the final
game were Maged Sadagah- Ahli Sana’a with 19 Pts. and Abdulsatar Al
Hamdani – Al Yarmou with 23 Pts.
Al Ahli is the cup winner 2005:
After that
game the YBA-president Mr. Al Khader Al Ezzani awarded Ahli Sana’a with
the President cup for the year 2004 – 2005 and the gold medals and for Al
Yarmouk the silver medals and for Abdullah Farhan from Al Mina a cup as
the best player.
