Iran claimed the title at the U18 WABA Championship in Tehran. The hosts overcame Syria on the final day of the tournament to finish it undefeated. Sajjad Mashayekhi (180-PG-94) nailed 34 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to pace the winners. Syria finished at 2-2 record in the third position in the ladder.

Iran U18 - Syria U18 87:57 Iran claimed the title at the U18 WABA Championship in Tehran. The hosts overcame Syria on the final day of the tournament to finish it undefeated. Sajjad Mashayekhi (180-PG-94) nailed 34 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to pace the winners. Syria finished at 2-2 record in the third position in the ladder. Iran dominated from start to finish. They recorded a 25:8 lead after ten minutes of action. They maintained the advantage throughout the second quarter. The hosts arrived at the interval up by 29 points 45:16. Syria got within 19 points with one quarter remaining 43:62. But Iran kept the situation under control and raced to a comfortable win at the end. Vahid Dalirzhan scored 20 points, while Mozafarivanani added 9 points in the victory. Ockba Baghajati (182-G-94) responded with 15 points for Syria. Mtarek Alzaim notched 14 points in the loss.

Lebanon U18 - Jordan U18 76:69 Lebanon celebrated the third win at the U18 WABA Championship in Iran. They outscored Jordan to clinch the second overall position in the ladder. Jordan suffered four defeats in a row to remain at the bottom of the standings. Hanna Nemer delivered 21 points and 7 assists to pace the winners in this one. Lebanon went on a 9:2 run early in the second quarter to clear off. They led by just 5 points at the first break but gradually stretched the margin to 8 points at halftime 36:28. Jordan however opened the second half with 8 consecutive points and erased the deficit. Moreover they pulled ahead late in the period to enjoy a 46:44 advantage with one quarter remaining. Lebanon got back on track late in the game. They managed to clear in front and raced to a narrow win at the end. Ali Mezher and Toni Azzi notched 10 points each for the winning side. Adham Salim responded with 17 points for Jordan. Hazem Hashem had 16 points in the loss.

Lebanon U18 - Yemen U18 80:74 Lebanon registered their second win at the U18 WABA Championship in Iran. The reigning champions edged Yemen to improve at 2-1 record. Wael Arakji notched 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the winners. Yemen fell at 1-2 record after the loss. Lebanon and Yemen stayed close throughout the opening frame. The defending champions however eked out a 21:16 lead ten minutes into the game. Lebanon maintained the lead throughout the second term. They recorded a 38:33 halftime advantage. Yemen got within a striking distance in the third quarter. They trailed by just three points at the final intermission 55:58. But Lebanon strongly entered the fourth frame and cleared off to a safe distance. They hung on for the lead escaping with a narrow win at the end. Elie Chamoun notched 17 points, while Ali Mezher had 10 points in the victory. Abdoufattah Al-Qasi nailed 16 points, grabbed 5 boards and issued 5 assists for Yemen. Aiman Sadakah had 14 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.

Iran cleared off in the third term. The hosts knocked down 30 points to take an 82:61 lead at the final intermission. Iran kept Lebanon at distance throughout the reminder of the contest and sealed the win at the end. Saleh Foroutannik and Mozafarivanani added 19 points each in the victory. Elie Chamoun answered with 15 points for Lebanon. Wael Arakji had 13 points in the losing effort.

Syria U18 - Yemen U18 62:54 Syria registered the second win at U18 WABA Championship in Iran. They fired past Yemen for 2-1 record. Mahmmoud Trub nailed 13 points and collected 8 rebounds to lead the winners. Yemen fell at 1-2 record after the loss. It was a tough battle in the opening frame. The teams stayed close however Syria managed to eke out a 13:9 lead after ten minutes. They stepped on the gas in the second term. Syria cleared off and posted a 33:17 halftime advantage. Syria started to get away in the third period. They ensured a 48:26 lead with one quarter remaining. Yemen went on a desperate 20:8 run in the final minutes to come up too short of victory at the end. Mohammadali Obaysi and Mtarek Alzaim scored 9 points each for the winners. Abdullfattah Al-Qasi and Bassam Al-Sharif (94) netted 14 points apiece for Yemen.
