    The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Saigon Heat as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Saigon Heat defeated 3rd placed Hochiminh CW at home 79-69. It was a key game for the top position in the league. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with defeated Hochiminh CW. Hochiminh CW will play next round against strong Hanoi B. trying to get back on the winning streak. Saigon Heat will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Danang Dragons at home.
    Important game to mention about took place in Can Tho. First ranked Can Tho CF (6-9) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 4th placed Hanoi B. (8-7) 68-65 on Sunday evening. Despite that victory Can Tho CF went down to fourth position due to points difference. Hanoi B. at the other side dropped to the third place with seven games lost. Can Tho CF will play against league's leader Saigon Heat at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hanoi B. will play against the league's second-placed Hochiminh CW and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
    The game in Danang was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Hanoi B. (8-7) played at the court of 5th ranked Danang Dragons (4-10). Hanoi B. defeated Danang Dragons 79-68 on Wednesday. Hanoi B. moved-up to third place. Loser Danang Dragons stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Hanoi B. will meet at home league's second-placed Hochiminh CW in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Danang Dragons will play against the league's leader Saigon Heat and hope to secure a win.

    Danang Dragons (VBA) added to their roster American forward Chris Dierker (201-95kg). Dierker just graduated from Madonna (NAIA). He has played there for the last four years. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to All-WHAC 2nd Team.
