Graham Louis (205-F/C-84) was pivotal with 29 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. The teams got to rather a slow start. They teamed up for just 20 points in the first term to stay knotted at 10:10. The tempo increased in the second quarter. The Heat pulled in front to take a 34:31 halftime lead. But the Slingers adjusted their defence and denied the deficit in the third quarter. The hosts limited their opponents to just 12 points and ensured a 49:46 lead with one quarter remaining. The Slingers erupted for 24 points in the fourth term to seal the victory at the end. Jeffers Kyle (207-C-85, college: Oregon St.) produced 20 points and 14 boards for the winners. Dulay Donald (173-G-80) added 9 points for the Slingers. Jonathan Jones (211-C-79, agency: TSS Management) replied with 31 points and 12 rebounds for the Heat.
