Al Wasl Dubai (D1) tabbed 31-year old American forward Travis Gabbidon (201-86, college: UTSA). He started the season at Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabian SBL league. The last season Gabbidon played at Al Shaab.
Among other achievements his team made it to the ABA Semifinals in 2014. Gabbidon received also Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Honorable Mention award back in 2013.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Gabbidon experienced life in six different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Gabbidon has played previously professionally in Argentina (9 de Julio), Australia, Kuwait (Al Jahraa), Dominican Republic (Callero), Mexico (Tijuana Zonkeys and Guerreros) and ABA (Arizona Scorpions).
He attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on he way to pro basketball.
Gabbidon attended Univ.of Texas - San Antonio until 2009 and it is his eighth season in pro basketball.

Manama Club - Al Sharjah 94:99 Sharjah have won 38th Gulf Clubs Basketball Championship and earned a berth in the Fiba Asia Champions Cup, to be held in China in September later this year. Sharjah - Rayyan 86:79 Sharjah celebrated the second consecutive victory at the Asia Champions Cup GBA Qualifiers. They prevailed against Rayyan for 2-0 record.
