Jordanco
Davitkov
Jordanco Davitkov will be the new Macedonian National Team head coach. The Macedonian specialist will replace unsuccessful Dragan Raca at helm before the European Pre-Qualifiers for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup where Macedonia will face Kosovo and Estonia.

For Davitkov this will be his second time on the "hot chair" as head coach of the Macedonian NT where he stood 10 years earlier, taking over from Marin Dokuzovski (agency: BeoBasket ) in 2001 after the series of unsuccessful attempts to qualify to a Eurobasket. His mission succeeded after four years when in 2005 he managed to promote Macedonia in Division A. However, he resigned his position in 2007 as part of the unsuccessful attempt to grab a spot in the Eurobasket 2007.

Speaking to the press the new head coach expressed great desire and optimism for the upcoming future: "When ever it was hard for the Macedonian basketball I never retreated aside. What waits upon us is a complex work to place the National Team where it should be. We will go step by step, firstly we'll try to manage the pre-qualification and then what ever comes with it... The most important thing is to compile the best possible team and with the best possible work and atmosphere to move forward." - finished Davitkov.

The assistant coaches that will sit among side Davitkov are jet to be decided.
