Hayes
Uhud Medina (SBL) signed 29-year old American forward Christopher Hayes (203-87, college: Detroit Mercy). He moved there from Al Jazeera in UAE D1 league where he played this season. The last season Hayes played at Winner/Limeira in Brazilian Brazilian NBB. In 35 games he had 9.8ppg, 3.4rpg and 1.1apg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals.
In 2009 Hayes was drafted by Los Angeles D-Fenders (D-League) in fourth round (62nd overall).
He attended University of Detroit Mercy and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Hayes was voted Latinbasket.com Paulista League All-Imports Team back in 2013.
He is quite experienced player. Hayes has played also professionally in Argentina (Atenas, Lanus and Sionista), Turkey (Istanbulspor), Uruguay (Aguada and Cordon), Brazil (Vivo/Franca and Flamengo) and Dominican Republic (Soles de Santo Domingo).
He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league on the market.
Hayes could be described: Never gives an inch, though, when it comes to battling under the backboards.
An outstanding prospect that has all of the intangibles of a 6'8' Forward. He is strong, athletic and finishes great around the basket. His perimeter skills are nice as he shoot the midrange jumper and can create off the dribble. Defensively he can guard perimeter and inside players due to his quickness and great footwork. He plays above the rim and has NBA like skills
