Al Ahli Dubai (D1) landed 33-year old American forward Jason Maxiell (201-118kg-83, college: Cincinnati). He already started the season at TianJin Steel in Chinese CBA league. In 34 games he averaged impressive 19.0ppg, 11.7rpg, 1.1apg and 1.4bpg last season.
The previous (14-15) season Maxiell played at the Hornets in NBA. In 60 games he had 3.3ppg and 3.4rpg in 2014-15 season.
In 13-14 season he played at the Magic in NBA. In 34 games he had 3.2ppg and 2.5rpg in 2013-14 season.
In 12-13 season Maxiell played at the Pistons in NBA. In 72 games he had 6.9ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.3bpg in 2012-13 season.
In 2005 New Jersey Flyers selected him as second overall pick in USBL draft.
The former University of Cincinnati standoutis in his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements he won NBA Central Division championship title for three years in a row (between 2006 and 2008).
Maxiell has played also professionally in NBA (Detroit Pistons).
Let's have closer look into His outlook: He possesses the combination of good size and advanced strength. Maxiell's armspan combined with his leaping ability enable him to play much taller than his 6-7 height and he is explosive around the basket.

10 teams that will partake in Dubai Basketball tournament - 13 days ago
The Dubai International Basketball tournament's organizing committee revealed on Wednesday that 10 teams have confirmed their participation in the 29th edition of the tournament. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Al Naser (6-4) in Dubai on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by Al Sharjah (7-3) 79-70.
