Quarterfinals start in United Arab Emirates League as three top teams posted the first victories in their openers. Al Shabab overcame Banijas 86:53, while Al Ahli beat Al Jazeera 89:71. Al Ahli started the game with a massive 30-11 surge and never looked behind after.
Al Sharjah beat Al Shaab 85:64 as they also erupted with a 33-11 surge in the first period to dominate the rest of the game. Al Wasl was the only team that finished lower their opponents to win the opener. They overcame Al Naser 83-78 in Game 1.

10 teams that will partake in Dubai Basketball tournament - 13 days ago
The Dubai International Basketball tournament's organizing committee revealed on Wednesday that 10 teams have confirmed their participation in the 29th edition of the tournament. Al Ahly and Zamalek will represent Egypt at the tournament, and they will compete with six clubs: Al-Riyadi, Homentmen and Al-Hikma from Lebanon; AS Sale from Morocco; ES Rads from Tunisia and Al- Nasr from Libya. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Al Naser (6-4) in Dubai on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by Al Sharjah (7-3) 79-70.
