United Arabic Emirates reached the Semifinal Stage in Holland. The team won and lost the games to finish second in Pool B.
In Day 1 NYC Warriors overcame United Arabic Emirates 91:76. Robert Giles (194-G-87, agency: TSS Management, college: Ball St.) paced all the winners with 23 points and Morakinyo Williams (213-C-88, agency: Interperformances, college: Citadel) brought 21. Alexander Machowski (205-C-91) ended up with 15 points, while Jonathan Dunn had 11. Rashid Alzaabi answered with 15 points and Ali Abba had 13. Tala Salem posted 12, while Mohamed Latif added 10.
United Arabic Emirates outscored Jiangsu Lions 94:72. Rashid Alzaabi paced all the winners with 28 points and Quais Omar scored 19. Ali Abba had 13 and Mohamed Latif brought 12. Sun Changchoa replied with 14 points in the losing effort, while Joseph Icill posted 13. Justin Boot notched 11 and Tray Britt added 8.

3 teams withdrew from United Arab Emirates League for next season !! - 1 month ago

Will emirates play with 6 teams in season 2016-2017 ? Thats the biggest question on Emirates basketball scene right now. The 3 bottom teams of last season Al Jazeera, Banijas and Al Ain announced that they are not going to participate in 2016-2017 senior league while they will keep playing in youth leagues. The reasons of that decisions are not clear yet but reasons may related with austerity policy in the whole of Emirates beside lack of senior local players in these clubs.
