Al Wasl Dubai hires Jordanco Davitkov as new Head Coach - Aug 28, 2012

Jordanco Davitkov will continue his coaching career in UAE. The FYR Macedonian specialist took over Al Wasl Dubai. He spent last four seasons in Kuwait. In the latest one Davitkov worked with Al Jahraa and they reached Kuwait Federation Cup Finals. From 2008 to 2011 he coached Al Wadsia. They won Kuwait Federation Cup in 2010 and participated at Pan Arab Games in Doha in 2011. Davitkov also coached National Team of Kuwait in 2011. Before his move to Kuwait, Jordanco Davitkov spent few months with Icelandic Snaefell, but he left them due to financial crunch in Iceland. In 2007/08 the coached worked with Strumica and before that he spent three years with Fersped-Rabotnicki Skopje. They were FYROM champions in 2005. Rabotnicki also won the Cup that year. In the past, Davitkov coached Nemetali Ograzden Strumica and Nikol Fert Gostivar.

Umana Venezia lands Mitchell Watt, ex Al Ahli - 11 days ago
Umana Reyer Venezia (Serie A) tabbed 28-year old American forward Mitchell Watt (208-102kg-89, college: Buffalo). He played most recently at Al Ahli in UAE D1 league. Watt also played that season for Juvecaserta where in 30 Serie A games he averaged 14.9ppg, 9.0rpg, 1.0apg, 1.2spg and 1.8bpg last season. He can count that year as a very successful as was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Italian SerieA Honorable Mention. Tyler Wilkerson (ex Al Shabab) agreed terms with Humacao - 1 month ago
Caciques de Humacao (BSN) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old American forward Tyler Wilkerson (203-109kg-88, college: Marshall). He played most recently at Al Shabab in UAE D1 league. Wilkerson has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012. CELEBRATIONS quickly turned into heartbreak last night as Manama were stunned 86-89 by UAE's Al Ahli, ending the home side's title bid in the 37th GCC Clubs Basketball Championship at the packed Zain Basketball Arena in Um Al Hassam.
