Al Rayyan edged Al Wasl to enter the Final of the 32nd GCC Clubs Basketball Championship. The team from Qatar celebrated a 93:79 win to remain undefeated. Tomorrow they will face another unbeaten team Al Hala that defeated compatriot Muharraq 75:69. In an all-Bahraini semi-final clash, which took place at the Bahrain Basketball Association's gym in Um Al Hassam, Al Hala showed strength in defence and unstoppable attack for a six-point win and a place in the final.
Pony Harold was unstoppable in his side victory nailing 38 points. Twenty six of his points he poured in for the first 20 minutes. Al Rayyan started with 22:14 lead and then had 48:37 advantage. The winners from Qatar never looked behind in the game and rightfully advanced to the Final.
The Final game is scheduled for May 10th, 16.00 local time. Al Wasl meanwhile will take on ALMuharraq from Bahrain in the game for the third place.
