Michael
Singletary
28-year old forward Michael Singletary (198-F-88, agency: Three Eye Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Mono Vampire and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 18.
He had a double-double of 41 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed Dunkin' Raptors (#8, 5-13) with 24-point margin 120-96. It allowed Mono Vampire to consolidate first place in the Thailand league. Mono Vampire have a solid 15-3 record. In the team's last game Singletary had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He just recently signed at Mono Vampire, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Texas Tech University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Singletary is in league's top in points (5th best: 22.3ppg) and averages solid 61.4% FGP. Worth to mention Singletary played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Nahshon George (206-F-93, agency: Haylett Sports) of TGE. He is American forward in his first season at TGE. In the last game George recorded impressive double-double of 39 points and 19 rebounds. It was enough for TGE to edge the lower-ranked PEA (#10, 1-17) by 3 points 102-99. TGE's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 9-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. George is one of the most experienced players at TGE and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. Former University of Idaho star George is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to another TGE's star - guard Jeff Viernes (173-PG-90). Viernes got into 30-points club by scoring 38 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds and four assists. He was another key player of TGE, helping his team with a 102-99 win against the lower-ranked PEA (#10, 1-17). TGE needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 9 lost games. Viernes has a great season in Thailand. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.2ppg (3rd best) and assists with 4.0apg (9th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Michael Fey (213-F/C-83) of Dunkin' Raptors - 26 points, 17 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Travis George (206-PF-85) of Adroit - 19 points and 21 rebounds
6. Guntapong Korsah-Dick (183-PG-97) of Mad Goat - 29 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Anthony McClain (213-C-88) of Mono Thew - 21 points and 14 rebounds
8. Marcus Douthit (210-C/F-80) of Hanoi B. - 24 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Michael Earl (203-F-85) of Dunkin' Raptors - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Richard Latham) of Mad Goat - 12 points, 19 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
