Alexander
American Kwame Alexander (201-C-90) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Hitech and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 26-year old center had a double-double of 51 points and twenty three rebounds, while his team outclassed PEA (#10, 1-17) with 49-point margin 124-75. Hitech maintains the 2nd position in Thailand TBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Hitech will need more victories to improve their 14-4 record. In the team's last game Alexander had a remarkable 57.9% from 2-point range and got seven three-pointers out of 12 attempts. He just recently signed at Hitech, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Cal State - San Bernardino graduate has very impressive stats this year. Alexander is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.1ppg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 23-year old American forward Nahshon George (206-F-93, agency: Haylett Sports) of TGE. George impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 26 points and 22 rebounds. Of course TGE cruised to a 95-85 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Adroit (#9, 1-17). TGE's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 9-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. George is one of the most experienced players at TGE and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. University of Idaho alumni George played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was American Travis George (206-PF-85, agency: Haylett Sports) of Adroit (#9). George scored 24 points and grabbed twenty nine rebounds (!!!). Despite George's great performance Adroit lost 85-95 to the higher-ranked TGE (#5, 9-9). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Adroit can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-17 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for George he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. George has individually a great season in Thailand. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 19.2rpg (#1 in league). George attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jonathan Kreft (213-C-86) of Hitech - 31 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Michael Earl (203-F-85) of Dunkin' Raptors - 30 points and 17 rebounds
6. Anthony McClain (213-C-88) of Mono Thew - 25 points and 15 rebounds
7. Steven Thomas (204-C/F-81) of Hanoi B. - 14 points, 19 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Michael Singletary (198-F-88) of Mono Vampire - 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Jeff Viernes (173-PG-90) of TGE - 29 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Taylor Statham (198-G-92) of Mad Goat - 35 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
