The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Hitech as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Hitech defeated 5th ranked Kabayan in Bangkok 95-84. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Kabayan. They outrebounded Kabayan 53-35 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. American center Kwame Alexander (201-90, college: CS San Bernar.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Avery Scharer (188-86, college: Shoreline CC) contributed with 28 points and 5 assists for the winners. Filipino guard Leo Avenido (188-78) answered with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for Kabayan. Kabayan's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hitech have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Mono Vampire and Mad Goat. Newly promoted Kabayan keeps the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with TGE. Kabayan will play next round against TGE trying to get back on the winning streak. Hitech will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Dunkin' Raptors on the road.
Important game to mention about took place in Bangkok. Sixth ranked TGE (6-5) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 3rd placed Mono Thew (8-3) 92-89 on Saturday evening. It was a great evening for Filipino point guard Jeff Viernes (173-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Nahshon George helped adding 15 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. TGE's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American center Anthony McClain (213-88, college: Cincinnati) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 20 rebounds. TGE moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kabayan. Mono Thew at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. TGE will play against Kabayan (#5) in the next round. Mono Thew will play against Mad Goat in Nakorn Phantom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
TBL top team - Mono Vampire (9-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Adroit (1-10) in Bangkok 111-78. It was a quality performance for Michael Singletary who led the winners and scored 23 points and 7 rebounds. Mono Vampire's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Travis George came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 24 rebounds and 4 blocks for Adroit in the defeat. Mono Vampire have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 9-2 record, which they share with Hitech and Mad Goat. Loser Adroit keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. Mono Vampire will meet at home Hanoi B. (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Adroit will play against PEA and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Fourth ranked Mad Goat blasted bottom-ranked PEA (0-11) in 85-58. PEA is still unable to win any game. The best player for the winners was Taylor Statham who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 20 rebounds. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Mad Goat (9-2) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Mono Vampire and Hitech. PEA lost their eleventh game in a row. They still close the standings with 11 games lost. Mad Goat's next round opponent will be Mono Thew (#4). PEA will play against Adroit (#9) in Singapore and hopes to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 11 Dunkin' Raptors were beaten by Hanoi B. on the road 100-95.

TGE - Mono Thew 92-89

Important game to mention about took place in Bangkok. Sixth ranked TGE (6-5) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 3rd placed Mono Thew (8-3) 92-89 on Saturday evening. TGE dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Mono Thew's 38. TGE forced 22 Mono Thew turnovers. It was a great evening for Filipino point guard Jeff Viernes (173-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. American forward Nahshon George (206-93, college: Idaho, agency: Haylett Sports) helped adding 15 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. George is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. TGE's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. TBL top team - Mono Vampire (9-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Adroit (1-10) in Bangkok 111-78. Mono Vampire dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to Adroit's 50. Mono Vampire forced 21 Adroit turnovers and had a 42-27 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a quality performance for American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 7 rebounds. Anurak Rodlieng accounted for 21 points for the winning side. Worth to mention Singletary played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Four Mono Vampire players scored in double figures. Mono Vampire's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Guyanese Travis George (206-85, agency: Haylett Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 24 rebounds and 4 blocks and American swingman Kenneth Smith (195-87, college: Lourdes) added 22 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Adroit in the defeat. Mono Vampire have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 9-2 record, which they share with Hitech and Mad Goat. Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Hanoi B. and 8th ranked Dunkin' Raptors had identical 3-7 record. This time Hanoi B. used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from 100-95. Hanoi B. had a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Steven Thomas (204-81, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 32 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Filipino power forward Marcus Douthit (210-80, college: Providence) chipped in a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Hanoi Buffalos (VBA) agreed terms with experienced 35-year old American ex-international power forward Jordan Collins (208-110kg-82, college: North Carolina State). SeaHorses Mikawa (B League) inked 27-year old American forward Daniel Orton (208-116kg-90, college: Kentucky). He played in the summer at Hitech in Thailand TBL league. Orton managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year (!!!). In 19 TBL games he averaged 14.6ppg, 9.4rpg, 2.2apg, 1.1spg and 1.2bpg.
