Johnson
American Center Reginald Johnson (208-C-89, agency: Three Eye Sports) had a very impressive game in the last round for Mono Vampire, receiving a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat PEA (#10, 0-6), the league's bottom-ranked team 93-79. Mono Vampire maintains the 4th position in Thailand TBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Mono Vampire will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Mono Vampire's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Miami, Florida star has very solid stats this year. Johnson is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 13.3rpg) and averages impressive 1.7bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was American Anthony January (203-G) of PEA. January had a very good evening with a double-double of 34 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as PEA lost that game 79-93 to the higher-ranked Mono Vampire (#4, 4-2). PEA are still at the very bottom. 6 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. January is one of the most experienced players at PEA and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 30.8ppg (#1). He also registered 12.7 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Nahshon George (206-F-93, agency: Haylett Sports) of TGE (#5). George scored 28 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of TGE, leading his team to a 116-104 win against slightly lower-ranked Dunkin' Raptors (#7, 2-4). TGE needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 3 lost games. George has a great season in Thailand. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.2ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 13.7rpg (6th best). George attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Steven Thomas (204-C/F-81) of Hanoi B. - 17 points, 18 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Jeff Viernes (173-PG-90) of TGE - 30 points and 6 assists
6. Kwame Alexander (201-C-90) of Hitech - 28 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Kittithep Dasom) of TGE - 16 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
8. James Matinez) of Dunkin' Raptors - 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Magnum Rolle (211-C-86) of Mad Goat - 19 points and 16 rebounds
10. Kenneth Smith (195-G/F-87) of Adroit - 31 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
