Hitech and Mono Vampire reach the Final as they also won the second semifinal games against their opponents. Hitech defeated OSK 82:79 as they erupted with a 26-19 surge in the last period. Tyler Lamb (196-G-91, college: Long Beach St.) top-scored for the winners with 17 points, while Howard Justin (208-C-81, college: Mercer) added 14. Scharer replied with 14 points and 14 boards in a loss.
Mono Vampire meanwhile outscored Mad Goat 81-76. Trailing 4 points at the halftime, Mono Vampire needed an 18-15 rally in the third quarter and 23-17 push in the last stanza. Chitchai Ananti (196-G/F-90) stepped up with 21 points and Johnson added 20. Moses Morgan netted 25 points in a loss.

Batang Gilas is back in shape as they conquered Thailand, 113-46, in the SEABA Under-16 tournament on Wednesday, May 17 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Thailand vented its ire on Myanmar with a 102-35 shellacking Monday in the 2017 Seaba Championship. Wutipong Dasom (195-C-91) uncorked a tournament-best 40 points, outscoring the whole Burmese squad, while also hauling down 11 rebounds as the Thais bounced back from their sorry 60-59 loss to Indonesia on Sunday.
