What a coincidence that all visitors won their games.

Top ranked Hitech (12-2) recorded its second loss in Bangkok on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Mono Vampire (9-5) 106-101. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Hitech. The guests trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 28-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Defending champion maintains third position with 9-5 record having just three points less than leader Hitech. Hitech at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost.
Very important is a home loss of second ranked Nakorn Mad Goat (10-3) against fourth ranked OSK (8-6) on Sunday night. Host Nakorn Mad Goat was defeated by OSK in 85-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nakorn Mad Goat. OSK maintains fourth position with 8-6 record. Nakorn Mad Goat at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost.
Bottom-ranked Raptors (0-12) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 106-85 loss to seventh ranked PEA (4-11) in on Sunday evening. PEA maintains seventh position with 4-11 record. Loser Raptors still closes the standings with 12 games lost.
The game in was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked TGE (7-7) played at the court of 6th ranked Mono Thew. (5-9). TGE managed to secure a 4-point victory 88-84. TGE maintains fifth position with 7-7 record. Mono Thew. at the other side keeps the sixth place with nine games lost.

The game in was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked TGE (7-7) played at the court of 6th ranked Mono Thew. (5-9). TGE managed to secure a 4-point victory 88-84. It looked good early as Mono Thew. took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then TGE had a 25-18 second period charge getting the lead and Mono Thew. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 84-88. TGE maintains fifth position with 7-7 record. Mono Thew. at the other side keeps the sixth place with nine games lost.

Hitech - Mono Vampire 101-106

Raptors - PEA 85-106

Bottom-ranked Raptors (0-12) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 106-85 loss to seventh ranked PEA (4-11) in on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by PEA. Raptors managed to win second period 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Very important is a home loss of second ranked Nakorn Mad Goat (10-3) against fourth ranked OSK (8-6) on Sunday night. Host Nakorn Mad Goat was defeated by OSK in 85-75. M88 Aspac Jakarta (IBL) signed 29-year old American power forward Nate Barfield (206-104kg-88, college: Langston). He played last summer at OSK R. Airlines in Thailand TBL league. In 5 games he had very impressive stats: 21.8ppg, 9.2rpg and 1.2spg. Barfield also played that season for NSH GMC GSBC Jakarta where in 14 IBL games he was third best scorer with remarkable 26.4ppg and averaged 14.4rpg (leader !!!), 1.4apg and 1.8spg. Hanoi Buffalos (VBA) agreed terms with experienced 35-year old American ex-international power forward Jordan Collins (208-110kg-82, college: North Carolina State). He played last summer at Thai General Equipment in Thailand TBL league. In 21 games he had 13.6ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.2apg. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Collins' team was regular season runner-up in Thailand Basketball League in 2016.
