TBL Round 7: Nakorn Mad Goat loses the game and top position - Jul 10, 2016

There was a change at the TBL leadership position after last games. Round 7 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Nakorn Mad Goat (6-1). They were defeated by second ranked Hitech (6-1) 82-69 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Nakorn Mad Goat. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Hitech. Nakorn Mad Goat managed to win third quarter 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hitech have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Nakorn Mad Goat.
Very significant was Mono Vampire's (#3) 80-67 road victory against 4th placed OSK. Defending champion maintains third place with 4-3 record having just two points less than leader Hitech. OSK at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
Bottom-ranked Raptors (0-7) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to sixth ranked Mono Thew. (3-4) 94-70 on Saturday evening. Mono Thew. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Raptors still closes the standings with seven games lost.
The game in was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked PEA (3-4) played at the court of seventh ranked TGE (3-4). TGE defeated PEA 85-72. TGE moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated PEA. PEA lost third consecutive game.

Mono Thew. - Raptors 94-70

The game was mostly controlled by Mono Thew.. Raptors managed to win third quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mono Thew. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Raptors still closes the standings with seven games lost.

OSK - Mono Vampire 67-80

Hanoi Buffalos (VBA) agreed terms with experienced 35-year old American ex-international power forward Jordan Collins (208-110kg-82, college: North Carolina State). He played last summer at Thai General Equipment in Thailand TBL league. In 21 games he had 13.6ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.2apg. SeaHorses Mikawa (B League) inked 27-year old American forward Daniel Orton (208-116kg-90, college: Kentucky). He played in the summer at Hitech in Thailand TBL league. Orton managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year (!!!). In 19 TBL games he averaged 14.6ppg, 9.4rpg, 2.2apg, 1.1spg and 1.2bpg.
