Thailand Slammers sign Darrius Brannon - Mar 6, 2013

  follow us on Facebook Twitter

Chang Thailand Slammers (ASEAN League) signed 30-year old Rwandan ex-international forward Darrius Brannon (206-83, college: Houston). He played most recently at Corr.Victoria in Mexican LNBP, but left. In 10 games he had 6.0ppg and 5.1rpg last season.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as Brannon's team made it to the C-USA Tournament Semifinals in 2006. He was also voted Top Freshman Rebounder of the Year (12.3rpg) back in 2002 at his college time. Brannon was a member of Rwandan Senior National Team two years ago.
He has played previously professionally in TPBL (Houston B.) and ABA (Houston R.S.).
Brannon attended University of Houston until 2006 and it will be his seventh season as a professional player.
He could be described: Extremely athletic and hard working, Mr. Brannon is a great addition to any team. He is an all around player; rebounding, scoring and blocking shots drive his winning attitude. Darrius is a great around the basket scorer. He has a nice package of skills and is an outstanding passer for a big man. He is almost completely ambidextrous, even to the point of being able to drill 3-pointers with either hand. Brannon has a great basketball IQ that could help propel any professional basketball team.

Dasom's 40 points lead Thailand in blowout of Myanmar - 13 days ago
Thailand vented its ire on Myanmar with a 102-35 shellacking Monday in the 2017 Seaba Championship. Wutipong Dasom (195-C-91) uncorked a tournament-best 40 points, outscoring the whole Burmese squad, while also hauling down 11 rebounds as the Thais bounced back from their sorry 60-59 loss to Indonesia on Sunday. Thailand came out playing with a purpose, running to a 14-0 start and extending its lead to as high as 67 en route to its third win against one defeat. Nakom Jaisanuk had 15 marke...   [read more]
