Thailand Slammers - KL Dragons 83:91

Westports KL Dragons clinched the second straight win in the ASEAN League season. They upset the Thailand Slammers away from home. Cedric Bozeman (198-G-83, college: UCLA) fired 22 points and grabbed 5 boards to pace the winners.
The Slammers led by three points after the opening quarter 24:21. The Dragons however turned things around in the second term. The Malaysian team went on a 33:13 run to ensure a comfortable 54:37 halftime lead. The Slammers tried to put together a comeback rally in the third term. The hosts narrowed the gap at 8-point mark before the fourth term. But the Dragons stopped the rot timely dropping 23 points in the final period and celebrated a well-deserved win at the end. Patrick Cabahug (186-G) notched 20 points, while Gavin Edwards (206-F/C-88, college: Connecticut) added 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Christien Charles (216-F/C-81, college: Villanova) exploded with 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Slammers. Wacharapong Tongsri chipped in 14 points in the loss.

The most important game in the last round took place in between third ranked PEA (8-6) and fourth ranked Mono Thew (8-6) on Sunday night. PEA was defeated by Mono Thew in a tough game on the road 83-91. PEA was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 27-17 charge of Mono Thew, which allowed them to win the game. 26-year old center Jarred Shaw (208-C-90) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Hitech and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 13. He had a double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds, while his team outclassed OSK (#8, 1-13) with 74-point margin 133-59. Hitech maintains the 2nd position in Thailand league. Experienced American Avery Scharer (188-G-86) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Hitech and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 12. The 30-year old guard had a double-double of 29 points and eleven rebounds, while his team crushed PEA (#3, 7-5) with 21-point margin 103-82. The game was between two of the league's top four teams.
