Singapore Slingers - Thailand Slammers 56:50

Singapore Slingers victoriously opened their ASEAN League season. They knocked down the Thailand Slammers at home court in the opener. Jones-Jennings Rashad (203-F/C-84, college: UALR) stepped up with 11 points and 12 boards to lead the winners.
The Slingers eked out a 10:8 lead after the opening quarter. The tempo grew in the second frame. The hosts fired 25 points to stretch the lead to 12 points 35:23. However the Slammers were able to slow the home team down in the third term. The visitors limited the hosts to 8 points to narrow the gap at 6-point mark at the final intermission. Justin Howard (208-C-81, college: Mercer) put the Slammers within three points 50:53 late in regulation. But Wong Wei Long (172-G-88) came up with crucial three points to clinch the victory for the Slingers. Jeffers Kyle (207-C-85, college: Oregon St.) and Wong Wei Long accounted for 10 points each for the home team. Justin Howard answered with 13 points and 14 boards for the Slammers. Michael Earl (203-F-85, college: Utah St.) chipped in 10 points in the loss.

TBSL Round 1 of Semi-Finals. Mono Vampire and Hitech register victories - 3 hours ago
Mono Vampire - Mono Thew 99-82 Mono Vampire edged Mono Thew to take 1-0 lead in the semifinal series. Mono Vampire dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Mono Thew's 46. Mono Vampire forced 23 Mono Thew turnovers and outrebounded them 36-21 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Taylor Statham gets MVP of the Week award for Thailand TBSL - 4 days ago
TAYLOR STATHAM American-Filipino Taylor Statham (198-G-92) had an amazing evening in the last round for Mad Goat and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 16. The 25-year old guard had a double-double of 36 points and eleven rebounds, while his team beat Mono Thew (#2, 11-5) 89-82. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. The Regular Season in TBSL just ended. Coincidentally all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most exciting game of round 16 in the TBSL took place in Bangkok. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of higher ranked Mono Vampire (10-6) to seventh ranked Luang (6-10) 88-85 on Sunday evening.
