Bangkok Cobras - Saigon Heat 66:68

Saigon Heat finished their inaugural ASEAN League season on a high note. They toppled the Bangkok Cobras away from home to earn the 8th win. Jonathan Jones (211-C-79, agency: TSS Management) fired 32 points and grabbed 16 boards to lead the effort.
The Cobras stunned the visitors in the opening frame. They ensured a 22:9 lead after ten minutes. But the Heat gradually came back to life. They narrowed the deficit to 10 points at the interval. The visitors got within three points at the final intermission. Sanz finally put the Heat in front late in regulation and they hung on to escape with a narrow win at the end. Jahmar Thorpe (198-F-84, college: Houston) finished with 22 points in the victory. Travis George (206-PF-85) replied with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the Cobras. Marvin Cruz (173-G-84) netted 13 points in the loss.

Batang Gilas is back in shape as they conquered Thailand, 113-46, in the SEABA Under-16 tournament on Wednesday, May 17 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The win gave Batang Gilas a flawless 3-0 record, and they are now just a win away from securing a slot in the FIBA Asia tourney. Dasom's 40 points lead Thailand in blowout of Myanmar - 13 days ago
Thailand vented its ire on Myanmar with a 102-35 shellacking Monday in the 2017 Seaba Championship. Wutipong Dasom (195-C-91) uncorked a tournament-best 40 points, outscoring the whole Burmese squad, while also hauling down 11 rebounds as the Thais bounced back from their sorry 60-59 loss to Indonesia on Sunday.
