Westports Dragons - Thailand Slammers 94:79

Westports Dragons earned the 11th win in the season and moved to the third position in the ladder. They toppled the defending champions Thailand Slammers at home court tonight. Tiras Wade (200-F-81, agency: Interperformances, college: La-Lafayette) notched 33 points to lead the effort.
The Dragons built a 23:16 lead ten minutes into the game. The hosts stretched the margin in the second quarter. The Malaysian team extended the gap to as many as 18 points at the interval 50:32. The Slammers however revived the intrigue in the third term. They outscored the hosts 23:11 to cut the distance. But Wesports Dragons unleashed 33 points in the final frame to seal the victory. Patrick Cabahug (186-G) netted 22 points, while Brian Williams (208-C-87, agency: VVG Sports, college: Tennessee) posted 16 points and 11 rebounds in the win. Calvin Williams (206-F-87, college: SE Missouri St.) replied with 34 points and 13 rebounds for the Slammers. Christopher Garnett (211-C-80, college: Indiana SE) netted 16 points in the loss.
